Mirella Stoyanova is a therapist, writer, and international adoptee from Bulgaria of both Bulgarian and Iraqi origin. Her work explores themes of trauma, identity, belonging, and the complexities of adoption. Her writing has appeared in Write or Die Magazine, Business Insider, and HuffPost Personal, among other places. Based in Seattle, she lives with her husband and son and writes at the intersection of rupture and repair.
